Women Empowerment

Committed to Energize Women Entrepreneurial Spirit

Empowering Women is Empowering India

International women day again reminds us to bridge the gap between man-women unemployment ratio and also to utilise the women’s dexterity to dignify them in West Bengal. As per recent study of FICCI and a private organisation educated unemployment youths in this state between age group of 15-29 in urban areas man 11.7%, women 19.8% and in rural areas Man 8%, women 15.5%.

It is needless to mention that entrepreneurship and self-employment may play a big role to make women self-dependent. The best and brightest young women prefer to start their own enterprise. Interesting social enterprises that sustainably address urgent societal needs is especially strong. Furthermore, Bengal must become a state of entrepreneurs.

Enabling Bengal’s deprived traditional women artisans, those are incredibly skilled in art of livelihood is too a major opportunity.

The challenges in scaling up entrepreneurship are not the lack of ideas or successful models in the women’s world. The government and its agencies have a profound and sublime role to play in creating and enabling environments suitable for women.

The rising tide of entrepreneurship in urban India must reach smaller towns and villages, where there are man power, resources, opportunities and potentialities. Being a catalyst we are focusing on prospects, problems and recommendations of small enterprises to create micro and small entrepreneurs. Through this women-oriented seminar we are demonstrating that they can dramatically boost livelihoods by single window know-how.
