Energy Conservation
Since 2016, as a part of our social activities, we have been organising a mass awareness campaign on “Energy Conservation” in different ways like – Trailer Campaign (2016), Boat Campaign (2017), Tram Campaign (2018), Canopy Campaign & Drawing Competition (2019), Van Campaign (2020), River Campaign (2021), Railway Station Campaign (2022), Highway Campaign (2023) and Demo Tent Campaign (2024) to observe the Energy Conservation Day (14th December).
The motto of this campaign, with the tagline “Save Energy – Save Future”, is to aware the common people about the energy conservation by tips and techniques through leaflets and demonstration.
At every stage we tried to attract the mass people through distributing leaflets and drawing public attention to the risks and advantages of certain behaviour pertained with energy saving and grow interest among the people about the use and benefits of solar energy.
Energy Conservation is an important part of India’s response to reducing global warming through energy saving in accordance of historic Paris Agreement in 2015.
Shilpa Bichitra, an industry and commerce oriented journal has conceptualized this innovative idea to organise this awareness programme every year; supported by most of the public sector power companies like – NTPC, Power Grid, NHPC, DVC, PFC, REC, WBSEDCL, IREDA, SECI, WBPDCL and supported by BEE, WBSDA and ERPC.
